High School/College Pastor — First Baptist Church Rock Hill (Rock Hill, South Carolina)

First Baptist Church Rock Hill exists to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples. Rooted in Scripture and aligned with the Baptist Faith, we have a long legacy of ministry in the Rock Hill community. FBC is known for embracing its staff, valuing longevity, and fostering an environment where leaders are trusted, supported, and mentored.

We are prayerfully seeking our next High School/College Pastor, a leader who will disciple and equip students, mobilize volunteers, and invest in the next generation of disciple-makers. This position has the opportunity to build upon a solid foundation and expand a ministry with incredible potential.

About the Ministry:
Our high school ministry serves 40–60 students from multiple area schools, gathering primarily on Sunday mornings for Life Groups and on Sunday evenings for ministry and discipleship. The college ministry currently ministers to 10–20 students on campus and seeks to expand its reach to Winthrop University and maintain connection with students as they transition into life and studies beyond Rock Hill.

This ministry is part of a robust NextGen strategy and works in close partnership with our Preteen and Middle School Pastor to strengthen families and grow disciples. With a great space for ministry, a healthy budget, and an excellent volunteer team, this is an environment ready for a leader to step in and build.

Is a galvanizer of leaders—able to recruit, inspire, and equip volunteers to shepherd students
A capable preacher and communicator with the ability to connect with both high school and college students
A team player who thrives in collaboration across staff and family ministry contexts
Passionate about discipleship and mission, equipping students to grow spiritually and live out their faith
Relationally mature, respected by both students and parents
