Position Summary   
Lead the team of musicians and technicians in creating an environment where people are engaged in worshipping God.   
  
Time Commitment      
Full-time; Exempt 
  
Education/Experience   
Bachelor’s degree or willingness to pursue further education 
3+ years of related experience  
Qualifications/Skills   
Committed follower of Christ 
Strong, creative verbal and written communication skills 
Clear calling to ministry 
Meet the qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 & Titus 1:5-9 
Passion for reaching people and a desire to minister to them 
Excellent leadership skills encompassing individuals and teams 
Being a member of FBC Sherman in good standing 
Doctrinally agree with the BFM2000 
 
Responsibilities and Duties   
Administrative: 
   Plan worship sets 
   Research new music 
   Meet with band, orchestra, choir, and praise team to practice and prepare for worship sets 
   Oversee worship in all ministries of the church 
Equipping 
   Invest in the lives of the worship ministry volunteers through relationships and regular communication 
   Lead the worship ministry staff 
   Invest time in prayer and spiritual preparation for each worship experience  
Pastoral 
   Reach out to first-time guests through calls and letters 
   Make hospital visits  
   Make disciples of worship volunteers 
   Assist with church-wide discipleship 
   Pastoral meetings as needed 
Any other duties as assigned by the pastor
