Senior Pastor Job Description

Mission Statement:

First Baptist Church is a caring community of Christians, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, helping one another grow in the Christian faith.

First Baptist Church, Socorro, New Mexico is seeking a full time Senior Pastor to lead our church.

·         Active membership is approximately 50+

·         Average Sunday attendance is approximately 75 during the School year.

·         Socorro is a college-based city and church attendance increases during the school year.

·         Sunday School attendance on average is 30+

·         Current programs include AWANA, OCC, active Sunday School, Women’s & Men’s ministries, Youth & College ministries, and we are members of the Mountain Baptist Association of New Mexico.

Our new pastor must have a passion for Jesus; be able to shepherd a wide range of people-children, college students, and adults.  We are vibrant church with great members who are willing to serve and have a passion for Christ.

Salary commensurate with education and experience.
