Student Ministry
- Lead this area of ministry by consistently evaluating and identifying areas of improvement.
- Implement necessary improvements to move the ministry forward
- Know the Students and Student Ministry volunteers
- Develop and maintain a sustainable discipleship strategy that equips students to cultivate growth in their own life, participate in the body of Christ, and share Christ with their peers
- Serve as the primary teacher and leader for Student Ministry, including Sunday School and other weekly student gatherings
- Recruit and train other leaders to effectively serve in Student Ministry as needed
- Utilize Word-centered, gospel-centered curriculums that teach students the contents and doctrines of Scripture and effectively apply it to their lives
- Plan regular gatherings for students to cultivate meaningful relationships
- Work in conjunction with the pastor to plan missional outreach opportunities for students
- Other duties as assigned
Kids Ministry
- Lead this area of ministry by consistently evaluating and identifying areas of improvement.
- Implement necessary improvements to move the ministry forward
- Know the Kids and Kids Ministry Volunteers
- Oversee Vacation Bible School through planning, recruitment and training of volunteers, and execution of the ministry event
- Oversee the recruitment and training of leaders to ensure effective volunteers in every area of Kids Ministry, including nursery, Sunday School, and Children’s Church
- Choose Bible-based, gospel-centered curriculums that will effectively teach Kids the truth of God’s Word
- Stay up-to-date on best practices as it relates to child safety
- Identify ways to partner with parents to equip them to disciple children in the home
- Other duties as assigned
Media Ministry and Communication
- Lead this area of ministry by consistently evaluating and identifying areas of improvement.
- Implement necessary improvements to move the ministry forward
- Recruit and train leaders to effectively serve in our media ministry
- Ensure quality recordings of Sunday morning worship services
- Ensure Sunday services are edited and posted promptly
- Maintain the church website’s aesthetic appeal, functionality, and communication effectiveness
- Review the church website regularly and communicate with website designer
- Effectively communicate with local TV channels who run our worship services.
- Maintain quality electronic communication systems for the church, including membership databases, email, and social media.
- Effectively communicate with the portion of our congregation that utilizes email and social media
- Create powerpoint slides for Sunday morning songs and sermon outline
- Other duties as assigned
Other Responsibilities:
- Fill in for Pastor on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights as requested
- Make pastoral visits to families connected to your ministry as the situation requires
- Oversee baptism/membership process for children and youth who express a desire for baptism
- Attend Deacon meetings and other necessary committee meetings that pertain to your areas of ministry
Qualifications:
- A mature and growing disciple of Jesus Christ
- A person of high Christian character
- A passion for ministering to others
- A like-minded philosophy of ministry
- An effective Bible teacher
- Very basic graphic design capability (Canva; Illustrator; Adobe Suites, or Indesign)
- Past experience with MailChimp, or other equivalent email technologies
- Effective use of personal social media or previous experience operating organizational social media accounts
- Good writing communication skills
- Quick learner with new technologies
- Administratively gifted with good organization, planning, and communication skills
