Associate Pastor of Music and Worship Full Time

First Baptist Church St. Marys is located in the heart of historic coastal southeast Georgia, just thirty minutes north of Jacksonville, Florida. We are a vibrant and welcoming church family seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Music and Worship who feels called by God to lead our congregation in Christ-centered worship.

Our worship style is blended—embracing the richness of traditional hymns, the passion of contemporary praise and worship, the beauty of choir-led music, and special musical offerings. Our desire is for every service to be a Spirit-led experience that draws hearts closer to God and centers on His Word.

The Associate Pastor of Music and Worship will work closely with the Senior Pastor to meet the spiritual and worship needs of the church. The ideal candidate will be a committed follower of Christ who meets the biblical qualifications of a pastor as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7, and is passionate about leading others in worship through music and ministry.

Qualifications:

·        A bachelor’s degree or equivalent ministry/music experience

·        Ordination to Christian ministry

·        A strong affirmation of the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)

·        Proven experience in leading and directing choirs

·        Musical proficiency, both vocally and/or instrumentally

·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
