Minister to Families and Children Full Time

First Baptist Church Statesboro seeks a Minister to Families and Children to provide strategic leadership for the church’s thriving next-generation ministry. As a member of the leadership staff, the Minister to Children and Families will lead a biblically based ministry for all families and children from birth through 5th grade as part of the overall disciple-making strategy of the church.

Along with the Student Pastor and the College Pastor, the Minister to Families and Children serves as part of the Disciple-Making team, led by the Discipleship Pastor who is the team leader. The Minister to Families and Children will be responsible for leading, planning, and evaluating this ministry at First Baptist Church Statesboro. Integral parts of this ministry include equipping parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their children, enlisting volunteers, and coaching staff and interns.

Historically averaging 1,200+ in worship, First Baptist Church Statesboro is a congregation of approximately 3,000 members with an annual operating budget near $4,000,000. Statesboro is home to Georgia Southern University and located along a growth corridor extending from the greater Savannah and coastal Georgia region.
