Student Ministry Associate – Guys Full Time

ActiveThe Student Ministry Associate will serve and lead the students of Fusion Student Ministry, while specifically and intentionally investing in the guys of Fusion.The Associate will cultivate meaningful relationships with male students, both believers and non-believers, creating an environment where they feel known, welcomed and at home. Through intentional discipleship, and leadership, the Associate will encourage students to grow closer to Christ and equip them to live as faithful followers of Jesus.
Responsibilities
· Model a godly lifestyle of prayer, evangelism, and discipleship
· Build relationships with male students during weekly events (Sunday and Wednesday), as well as special events (D-Now, camp, on-campus events, etc.)
· Assist in the writing and development of curriculum for Sunday mornings
· Assist in the planning and execution of special events and mission opportunities for Fusion Student Ministry as a whole
· Develop a short-term and long-term vision for the growth of the guys ministry via Bible studies, small group gatherings, and events
· Assist in the preparation and management of the student ministry budget
· Consistently walk students through the process of discipleship and leadership development
· Support students in their extra-curricular activities
· Collaborate with Fusion staff and Student Pastor about upcoming events for guys/girls/ all students, promotional materials, social media, etc.
· Constantly evaluate all areas of ministry with the goal of improving what we do and how to expand our reach
· Speak truth into tough situations within the lives of students, exercising sensitivity and confidentiality
· Confidence to counsel and disciple students in one-on-one situations and small group settings
· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
· A clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ and an ongoing desire and effort to grow more Christ-like in character
· Agreement with the doctrinal statement of FBC (Baptist Faith & Message 2000)
· A clear calling to student ministry
· Bachelor’s Degree or pursuing higher education
· Experience in ministry with students (preferred)
