Pastor of Worship/Worship Leader Part Time

Position Summary: To join the FBC King ministry team and lead our worship ministry, including our multi generation

choir, praise team, and band. If ordained, to also join the pastoral team and assist in the biblical responsibilities of

shepherding the flock through leading our congregation is worship and worship service.

Status: Part-time

Ministry Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will love Christ, His Word, and His church. If

married, he will seek to minister to his family first and will evidence a Christ-centered marriage. He will support the

agreed upon vision of the Senior Pastor/Church to see God glorified and joy multiplied, from our neighborhoods to the

nations.

Worship Ministry

• Work closely with Senior/Executive Pastor to create God-honoring, biblically faithful, Christ-exalting services.

• Coordinate and provide music for weddings, funerals, and special events upon request of the Senior Pastor.

• Leadership of adult choir and assists Children’s Minister with children’s choir.

• Oversight of praise team and band.

• Maintain budget, materials, equipment, and instruments associated with ministry.

• Work closely with Sound/AV/Tech Teams regarding all audio, visual, and IT needs of the church.

Miscellaneous

• Additional tasks/responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Pastor

• Maintain biblical qualifications for pastor (if ordained)

• Report to the Executive Pastor

Qualifications: Minimum: A born-again, baptized believer who affirms the Baptist

Faith and Message 2000 and, if ordained, meets the New

Testament qualifications of pastor/elder. He must possess the

knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to spearhead FBC’s

worship ministry and whatever duties are agreed upon with the

Senior Pastor. He must be committed to gospel focused, Christcentered

discipleship and expositional methods and have a high

view of God’s sovereignty and Word. He will emphasize God’s

glory above all else and be willing to contribute to a

multigenerational/integrated approach to ministry. He will have a driver’s license (clean driving record) and a

willingness to undergo a

background check.

Preferred (not required): Seminary education

200- 275 in attendance each Sunday morning. We are a gospel-centered, Christ-exalting church that considers God’s

King, NC King is a growing community nestled in the foothills of NC. We are less than 20 minutes north of the large

city of Winston-Salem and 20 minutes south Mt. Airy, NC. King is a wonderful place for
