Pastor Full Time

First Southern Baptist Church of Gregory, SD is seeking a pastor who loves the Lord Jesus Christ.  We are a body of believers who desire to do His work in our community, state, country, and world.  Our nearly 100 member congregation continues to seek opportunities that the Lord provides.  We desire a shepherd to direct and support us in current and future endeavors that the Lord may lead.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver sermons on Sunday mornings.
• Prayerfully seek the Lord’s direction for himself and the church.
• Provide or oversee pastoral care to the members.
• Provide leadership in implementing the Lord’s plan.
• Help with visitation, to the community and the church family.
• Relate and build relationships with all ages of individuals.
• To love God’s Word, and commit to preach the gospel as well as the Truth of God’s Word to all who will listen.

The town of Gregory is located in the south central part of the state.  It is a small community of around 2000 people.  Most of the economy is from agriculture and hunting.  The school goes from Pre thru 12th and was built around 10 years ago.  A new hospital, clinic, and nursing home just opened in the fall of 2022.  First Southern is a community minded church.

We are looking for a man to shepherd us in reaching the lost and building disciples.  We would like him to become involved in the community and with our young people, who are the future of our church.  We do have a salary package, but feel if he and we feel that God wants him in Gregory, then God will provide.
