Minister of Children and Outreach Part Time

First Southern Baptist Church is seeking a passionate and Christ-centered Minister of Children & Outreach to lead our children’s ministry (birth–5th grade) and develop meaningful community outreach efforts. This role partners closely with the Senior Pastor to create engaging ministry experiences, connect families to the Gospel, and strengthen the church’s presence in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead children’s worship, discipleship, and programming
• Develop and execute outreach events and community partnerships
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers
• Oversee church marketing, website, and social media
• Coordinate ministry efforts and manage related budgets

Qualifications

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to children’s ministry and outreach
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience with volunteers, basic computer skills, and social media preferred
• At least 20 years old; able to pass a background check
• Member of First Southern Baptist Church or willing to join

This position requires regular participation in church life and office hours two days per week.
