Lead Pastor Full Time

Friendship Baptist Church is looking for a Lead Pastor who will faithfully shepherd our congregation through preaching, leadership, and pastoral care.  The Lead Pastor will provide our members with spiritual direction and worship based on God’s word.  Friendship is looking for a pastor who will help us grow and embrace the community we live in with love and purpose for God’s glory.

The ideal candidate will possess strong biblical teaching and communication skills and a love for God’s Word and God’s people, regardless of background, ethnicity, or social standing.  He would have a heart for the host and encourage outreach to our community and beyond.  He would have some training from a theological institution.

We are a small congregation of faithful believers who want to grow in the truth of God’s word and reach to to those who do not know the Lord.  As such we would welcome a bi-vocational pastor.  e are members of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and the Ellis Baptist Association.

Friendship Baptist Church is located in Ennis, Texas which is a growing community with close proximity to Dallas and Ft. Worth.  Ennis is known for their yearly Bluebonnet Festival held in April and Czech Polka Festival held in May.  There is an influx of people at those times.  We are a diverse community with a large Hispanic population and other cultures as well.
