Are you passionate about discipling students and equipping the next generation to live out their faith boldly? Glenview Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Student Minister to lead a dynamic ministry for 7th-12th grade and college students. This role is an opportunity to influence students’ spiritual growth, develop leaders, and integrate student ministry into the broader mission of the church.

Our student ministry reflects these values by preparing students to be leaders in their families, church, and community while cultivating Christ-centered relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and grow the student ministry, leading efforts that equip students to follow Jesus and make Him known.
Plan and coordinate opportunities for spiritual growth through Bible studies, Life Groups, discipleship training, retreats, camps, mission trips, and service projects.
Recruit, train, and empower volunteers, student leaders, and teachers to build a strong ministry team.
Develop an outreach strategy to engage students in gospel conversations and invite peers to participate in the ministry.
Build relationships with students, their families, and local schools to create a positive impact in the community.
Provide a smooth transition between youth and college ministry, ensuring relevant programming for all age groups.
Manage the student ministry budget, supplies, and equipment.
Use social media and other platforms to communicate effectively with students and parents.
Participate in church-wide activities, staff meetings, and coordinated events.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a leader who:
Has a testimony of salvation by faith in Jesus Christ and baptism by immersion.
Exhibits a maturing relationship with Jesus and a heart to follow Him faithfully.
Relates well to students and understands the challenges they face, including anxiety, depression, and peer pressure.
Is family-oriented and can balance ministry responsibilities with personal commitments.
Demonstrates strong moral character, dependability, and confidentiality.
Thrives in a team environment and embraces Glenview’s mission and values.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required (or working toward one); Master’s degree from a Southern Baptist Seminary preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of student ministry leadership preferred.
Skills: Critical thinking, public speaking, and basic proficiency with social media and technology. The ability to obtain a Class B-CDL (to drive a bus) is a plus.
