Good Hope Baptist Church is seeking a full time Youth Pastor.  Below is our vision, responsibilities, knowledge/skills and requirements.

Vision
We desire our youth to grow into young adulthood eager and willing to live “Kingdom of God Culture” rather than “Kingdom of the World Culture”. We desire that they not only become students of The Word but that many press on to be teachers of The Word, able to rightly interpret and share The Word.

Responsibilities
Teach, organize and oversee the Sunday morning and Wednesday night programs for the youth
Oversee the recruitment and supervision of middle and high school adult leaders Build dynamic relationships with students, youth parents, and other adult leaders in the church and in the community.
Coordinate and attend summer youth camp and other regular student events throughout the year
Develop and coordinate mission opportunities for the youth in conjunction with the church’s Missions committee.
Be available for counseling with students.
Lead or be involved with local school programs
Attend and keep track of student events and accomplishments at a variety of schools in our area.
Keep youth parents involved and informed
Visit “on average” with two youth families per week
Represent the Senior Pastor at committee and ministry team meetings as requested. Other Duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills
Know the bible and demonstrate skills in teaching and living it
Passionate about youth ministry-Have an understanding of the challenges facing students and parents
Be a student of scripture
Excellent communication skills
Competency with computers, music, and video equipment
Requirements
Youth ministry experience required
Applicant must be able to provide a sample of teaching Ordination or Licensure preferred
