Next Gen/Worship Pastor Full Time

Gospel Baptist Church exists to make and mature disciples in our neighborhood and the nations. Because of that, we are seeking a full-time Next-Generation/Worship Pastor to serve in our worship ministry and next-generation ministries. • Meets the qualifications for a pastor/elder found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9,
• and 1 Peter 5:1-3.
• Have a growing relationship with Jesus.
• Prioritizes leading family well over other work.
• Agrees with our church’s purpose, mission, values, and statement of faith.
• Desires to develop, lead, and facilitate ministries.
• Interested in ministry in a small-town environment and church revitalization.
• 3-5 years of experience preferred but not required.
• Masters degree required (M.Div preferred)

Responsibilities

• Recruit and train volunteers for next-gen. Ministries.
• Investing in parents is the primary strategy to reach the next generation.
• Supplement parents with discipleship materials and opportunities to invest in their children.
• Develop a comprehensive discipleship strategy for next-generation ministry along with the student and children’s ministry director.
• Lead Sunday morning worship and any other special service as needed.
• Organize, attend, and lead worship rehearsals.
• Preach on a Sunday morning rotation with the other pastors.
• Organize, attend, and lead Wednesday night next-generation ministries.
• Have a presence in community events for the next generation.
• Create outreach opportunities for our families to help reach the lost in our community.
