Job Summary

The position is a hybrid of a Worship Associate and Ministry Support.  They will direct all services at Grace Community Church to assure a smooth, distraction free experience so the congregation may fully worship our Lord and Savior. They will also help prepare different facets of the weekly service throughout the week and provide administrative, organizational, and relational support to church ministries.The Ministry Support Administrator works collaboratively to enhance ministry effectiveness, maintain confidentiality, and support a welcoming, Christ-centered environment.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Administrator

Direct all worship services at GCC McDowell campus. 
Run all tracks for all GCC McDowell campus services.
Be available to lead worship at any of the auxiliary services or events that GCC has
Lead worship in the absence of the Worship Pastor.
Assist Worship Pastor in monthly worship planning.
Direct all youth worship activities at GCC McDowell Campus 
Set up and prep for rehearsals 
Print and set out worship orders 
Upload song lyrics into computers for all services
Keep up to date on software updates on worship technology
Order communion supplies and coordinate with elders for first Wednesday services
Be a part of all weekly worship planning meetings 
Assure all parts of all worship services are covered. Ie: Readers, ministry highlights, etc.
Help coach team members on stage presence. 
Assist with scheduling, communication, records management, and event support while upholding the mission, values, and spiritual culture of the church. 
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Promotions

Help encourage and require leadership from committed members of the worship team.
Help keep the worship team members accountable in their walks with the Lord, including but not limited to, being a member of a Grace Life Group, as well as attending a minimum of one worship service per week.

Communicate

Share the gospel with the lost on an ongoing basis, both individually and corporately.
Network with other Worship Associates in contemporary Christian settings.
Meet as needed with the Worship Pastor to apprise him of progress and/or challenges. 
Communicate weekly with everyone involved in any aspect of the services in an appropriate time frame, ensuring they have all the information pertinent to their weekly role. 
Create an environment that welcomes both the giving and receiving of suggestions and feedback

Be Accountable

The Worship Associate reports to the Worship Pastor and assists in supervising volunteer staff.
Spend time daily with God, growing to become more like Christ every day.
Develop a personal mission statement for life including God’s purpose for your life
Lead by example in the areas of giving and servant leadership.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Required

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equal work experience as a service/music director, musician or worship leader
Seasoned instrumentalist and vocalist
Ability to read music preferred but not required  
Ability to sing and lead all vocal parts as needed
Ability to publicly speak in front of the congregation
Strong technology skills
Possess a solid biblical foundation
Growing, yet mature follower of Christ 
Humble yet confident
Compassionate heart for the hurting and lost
Team-oriented visionary leader with direct people leadership experience 
Strategic thinker who can mobilize and direct large groups of people to reach a common goal 
Ability to recruit and lead other highly motivated leaders 
Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills 
Commitment to and passion for excellence
