Summer Preaching Internship

8-Week Program | End of May – End of July

Grace Fellowship is offering a summer preaching internship for young men who sense a calling to pastoral ministry. This is an intensive, hands-on training experience in a baptistic church with Reformed theology. Plenty of feedback and constructive criticism will be provided to help hone skills and give clarity to the sense of a calling to preach.

What You’ll Do
Work alongside the pastor Monday-Thursday (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM), observing and participating in sermon preparation, pastoral counseling, ministry planning, and daily church operations. 

Weeks 1-2: Observe, learn homiletics basics, deliver brief devotionals, and teach Wednesday teen Bible studies
Weeks 3-5: Preach 10-15 minute mini sermons and practice full-length sermons with feedback
Weeks 6-8: Possibility to preach 2-3 full Sunday evening services and lead midweek Bible study

Multiple preaching opportunities with increasing responsibility

What We’re Looking For
Young men with a clear sense of calling to preaching ministry, a teachable spirit, and the ability to commit to the full 8 weeks. Agreement with the Doctrines of Grace is expected.
