Worship Minister Part Time

Role and Responsibilities

The role of the Worship Minister is to cultivate an environment for people to worship Jesus Christ through congregational singing, preaching, and prayer.

General responsibilities of the position

• Minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to the church, and in particular worship ministry participants, through authentic worship.
• Lead regular worship practices and meetings in preparation for weekly Sunday Worship gatherings.
• Provide Audio/Media oversight and implementation as the ministry requires.
• Coordinate with the Lead Pastor and Family Pastor for worship gatherings.
• Act and speak with love, compassion, and genuine care for others as a Minister of the gospel at Grace Maricopa.
• Coordinate with the Senior Pastor and Grace Maricopa volunteers to plan and execute multiple music events annually.

General character and theological requirements of the position

• Must have a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Must be a student of Scripture with a desire to lead others to know the Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
• Must be in full agreement with the Grace Maricopa Statement of Faith.
• Must have a genuine call and commitment to ministry (see 1 Timothy 4:15).
• Must be a communicator and collaborator.
• Must keep a lifestyle of faithfulness to Christ in accordance with the gospel ministry.
• Must be a visionary and possess the ability to actualize the vision.
• Must be a creative problem solver.
• Must have advanced skills on guitar or piano.
• Must have the ability and desire to be the lead vocalist.
• Must attend a weekly church staff meeting.

This position reports to the Senior Pastor and is expected to become full time.
