Are you passionate about guiding the next generation to grow in their faith? Do you have a heart for building relationships with students and their families? Highland Drive Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a dedicated Youth Minister to lead and disciple students in grades 7-12.

Highland Drive Baptist Church is a family of believers who seek to Love God, Connect to Others, and Serve the World.  We are committed to fostering spiritual growth, building strong community connections, and equipping our youth to become fully devoted followers of Christ.  The city of Jonesboro is home to 80,000 residents and Arkansas State University with a student body of 15,000.

About The Role

As our Youth Minister, you will:

  • Cultivate an atmosphere for students that encourages a passion for God’s word and spiritual growth
  • Build relationships with students, parents, and volunteers to foster discipleship
  • Organize impactful youth programs, retreats, camps, and mission trips
  • Lead youth gatherings, including Sunday small groups, Sunday night activities, and Wednesday night services
  • Equip and train volunteers and parents to support youth discipleship
  • Develop outreach strategies to engage students beyond the church walls
  • Affirm the statement of faith of Highland Drive Baptist Church

What We’re Looking For

  • A clear call to vocational ministry and a growing relationship with Christ
  • A strong ability to connect with students and their families
  • A bachelor’s degree (required) and experience in youth ministry (preferred)
  • Leadership skills with a collaborative, strategic approach
  • A heart for discipleship and outreach
