Hillcrest Baptist Church is seeking a dynamic and relational leader to serve as our Minister of Community Outreach and Youth Discipleship
About the Role
This is a blended role that combines leading our church’s outreach and evangelistic efforts with overseeing a vibrant student ministry. You’ll serve as a key member of the pastoral team, working under the direction of the Senior Pastor to help Hillcrest fulfill its mission: to reach, teach, and minister in the name of Jesus Christ.
 
Key Responsibilities
·      Lead Evangelism & Outreach
o   Mobilize the church for intentional, ongoing community outreach.
o   Equip members to share their faith confidently.
o   Build partnerships in the community and support mission efforts locally and globally.
·      Oversee Student Ministry (Grades 6–12)
o   Create a safe and spiritually engaging environment for youth.
o   Recruit and equip a volunteer team to disciple students.
o   Support and partner with parents as the primary faith leaders of their children.
·      Discipleship & Integration
o   Develop student leaders and encourage youth involvement in the larger church body.
o   Lead programs and events focused on spiritual growth, fellowship, and service.
o   Help students transition into college and adult church life.
·      Team Leadership & Pastoral Support
o   Serve on the ministerial staff and collaborate with other ministry leaders.
o   Preach when needed and support pastoral care responsibilities.
o   Contribute to a unified church vision with a heart for “One God, One Church, One Community.”
 
What We’re Looking For
·      A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
·      Seminary or ministry degree required.
·      Proven experience in evangelism, outreach, and/or student ministry.
·      A relational, team-oriented leader who is passionate about the Great Commission.
·      Strong communicator, teacher, and mentor.
·      Fully committed to the doctrine and vision of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
 
Position Details
·      Schedule: 40 hours/week
·      Days Off: Friday and Saturday (except special events/emergencies)
·      Reports To: Senior Pastor
·      Location: Hillcrest Baptist Church – 5950 Terry Road, Byram, MS 39272
