Pastor of Worship and Youth Full Time

Hopewell Baptist Church of Morganton, NC is prayerfully seeking a Full-time pastor of Worship and Youth. Hopewell is a growing church in Burke County. We average over 200 on Sundays and 100 on Wednesdays. We may soon go to 2 services as we are running out of space. We also have ambitions, Lord willing, to expand our campus with a new sanctuary in the next 5 years to accommodate at least 500-700 capacity. 

Expectations:

This position will have regular M-F office hours where he will develop and implement effective ministry programs for the music ministry as well as the youth ministry. And will naturally be committed to Sunday and Wednesday regular attendance with limited absences.

Hopewell Baptist is a conservative church that seeks a blended selection of music. This can be delivered by praise team and/or choir. Live music or media software. We currently have 4 on praise team, 25 in choir.  Hopewell champions the preaching of the Word but we also understand the need for authentic worship via music and praise.

The youth need a pastor to lead them in Sunday School, Sunday nights, and Wednesday nights along with (camps, outings, discipleship programs, local/associational cooperation, etc). We currently average 20 youth and have a state-of-the-art gymnasium. Tons of potential to have the strongest youth program in the county!

He shall uphold the Biblical qualifications of a pastor, be ordained into Christian Ministry within the SBC, adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and be the leader of a Godly family (if married).
He will also need to fill the pulpit occasionally when needed.

Compensation will be a based on experience (55k-75k) with 2 weeks vacation and 1 week sick leave.
