Leadership Development Director Full Time

ActiveAssist churches in effective strategies and methods for developing church leaders, training workers in relevant ministry skills (e.g. through statewide leadership conferences, regional leadership training events, pastor cohorts, coaching, and consultations), and nurturing leaders and workers through online and self-guided processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Leadership Development Team in the development and delivery of strategies, programs, resources, events, and processes to enhance the development of leaders in IBSA churches.
- Develop, promote, and coach leadership workshops and training events that will assist pastors and other church leaders in their personal spiritual and professional development, (e.g. communication skills, interpersonal and team building skills, church staff selection processes, employee relationships, conflict resolution, stronger administrative skills, etc.).
- Work with the Leadership Development Team in the development of new delivery systems for leadership development and training, (e.g. online courses, webinars, self-guided resources, statewide and regional events).
- Assist churches in the identification and development of potential church leaders and teachers in order to strengthen existing churches and place them in a stronger position to start new churches and send effective missionaries.
- Stay informed and up to date on current and proven leadership resources, methods, and opportunities in order to provide IBSA churches with the most helpful and effective resources in this area of ministry.
- Work with the Administrative Director of the Leadership Development Team in developing and managing effective ongoing strategies and an annual budget and calendar for IBSA’s Leadership Development and Training ministries, in consultation with the Associate Executive Director.
At the time of employment, the Leadership Development Director
- Should demonstrate a contagious Christian experience, have experience in developing leaders, in growing healthy, productive churches, and in leading churches to engage in missions support through associational missions and the Cooperative Program.
- Would preferably have degrees from college and a Southern Baptist Convention seminary.
- Should have skills in strategic thinking and planning, budgeting, team concepts, and personal development as an individual.
