Youth Minister Full Time

Immanuel Baptist Church (IBC) in Tallahassee, FL, is actively searching for a dedicated and dynamic Youth Minister to enhance our ministry team.  With a rich history spanning 90 years, IBC remains steadfast in its commitment to engage the youth of Tallahassee with the Gospel’s transformative message.  We seek an individual who demonstrates a deep and maturing relationship with Christ and possesses exceptional skills in connecting with middle and high school students.  The Youth Minister will be responsible for guiding young people through life’s challenges with teachings grounded in biblical principles, developing and overseeing programs that are consistent with the Southern Baptist doctrine, and fostering meaningful relationships with students, their families, and our congregation.  The ideal candidate should be highly organized, have a proven track record of leading youth-oriented events such as camps and mission trips, and exhibit the ability to work collaboratively with both staff and parents to fortify family bonds.  Proficiency in leveraging technology to innovatively share the Gospel is a crucial requirement.  If you have a heart for nurturing the spiritual growth of young individuals and are eager to create a significant and enduring influence, we invite you to apply and become a valued member of our supportive and united team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Married – Both Husband and Wife must have made a commitment to Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, and are reflecting a growing relationship with Christ.
• 5+ years of experience as a youth minister.
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution with a Master of Divinity or master’s in Christian education from an accredited religious institution.
• or an undergraduate degree from an accredited Christian college or Christian university.
• Highest standards of character and integrity – 1 Timothy Chapter 3.

Note: Applicants with an undergraduate degree from a secular institution must possess a Master’s degree from an accredited religious institution.
