Lead Elder/Pastor Full Time

Job Description

Koinonia Reformed Baptist Church is looking for a lead elder who would be responsible, with the help of the other elders in the church, for shepherding the flock. We are looking for a skilled teacher of God’s Word who is also passionate for reaching the lost.  He would both desire and work to disciple, shepherd, and care for the members of the church.   He would be responsible for spiritually and administratively leading the church.

Depending on salary needs, this could be either a full-time or bi-vocational position.

Qualifications

–       Meets qualifications for elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9

–       Attended or graduated from an accredited Bible College or Seminary.

–       Strong leadership skills

–       Minimum of 5 years of experience in pastoral ministry

Responsibilities

–       Prepare and deliver sermons

–       Prepare and conduct Sunday morning services

–       Pastoral needs, including hospital and home visitation, prayer, counseling

–       Oversight, along with the other elders, of ministries of the church

We are an elder led congregation with active deacons serving our church.  God’s word is inerrant, infallible, authoritative and is the only basis for our belief and practice.  We are reformed in our beliefs, including the sovereignty of God in all matters including salvation. We believe that a church is to be led by a plurality of elders who are the congregation’s shepherds and teachers.  We have 2 small groups that are meeting during the week.  We are completely debt free, including the building where we meet.
