Overview of Church

Lake Ruth Baptist Church is a small church located in the Central Florida town of Bartow.  It is a multi-generational church with a strong core of supportive members who are committed to “Making Jesus Followers.”  The church has been actively serving the Bartow community since its beginning in 1957. 
 
Our Beliefs
 
LRBC is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention and holds to historic Reformed Baptist doctrine.  In addition to the Baptist Faith and Message, we are in substantive agreement with the London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689. 
 
Expectations
 
LRBC’s expectations for the Pastor are that he be in agreement with the above stated beliefs, that he is committed to the authority of Scripture, that he is committed to diligent service to Christ and His Church, and that he be honest and fair in his dealings with all people inside and outside the church.
 
Duties
 
Preach the Word in season and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2), equip the saints for ministry and build up the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-12), oversee the ordinances of the church, provide leadership in outreach and church programs, offer support for members and attendees through counseling, visitation, and other pastoral duties, conduct Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services.
 
Salary
 
Experience and personal availability will determine the hours and salary.
