LBC is seeking a passionate and skilled Worship Leader to join our vibrant church community. The Worship Leader will play a vital role in leading our congregation in meaningful worship experiences, collaborating with the worship team, and supporting the vision of the worship pastor. This role requires a strong musical aptitude, a heart for worship, and a desire to serve the local church. A familiarity with modern worship technology is also essential.
Qualifications:
A clear and mature Christian faith.
A heart for worship and a desire to lead others in encountering God.
Proficiency in vocals and at least one instrument.
Experience leading worship in a church setting.
Strong musical skills, including knowledge of music theory and harmony.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A servant heart and a willingness to go the extra mile.
Formal music training or education.
Proficient with Ableton and other technology
Experience working with or leading an orchestra is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Worship: Fill in as needed for the Worship Pastor in leading Sunday morning worship and running the Sunday morning worship services in all aspects when WP is out, as well as
leading regularly on Sunday mornings as a part of the worship team or as assigned by WP.
Assist WP in scheduling, corresponding with, recruiting, vetting, developing, and shepherding musicians.
Musical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in vocals and at least one instrument (guitar, or keyboard).
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the worship pastor and other musicians to plan and execute engaging worship services.
Rehearsals: Lead or participate in weekly rehearsals, ensuring musical excellence and unity within the team.
Song Selection: Contribute to the selection of songs that are theologically sound, musically engaging, and relevant to the congregation.
Vocal and Instrumental Development: Mentor and develop vocalists and instrumentalists within the worship team.
Technical Support: Collaborate with the AVL team to ensure seamless execution of worship services.
Worship Technology: Utilize and manage worship technology effectively. Always looking for new technology ideas.
Presentation Software: Proficient in using presentation software such as ProPresenter, for displaying lyrics, scriptures, and other visual media.
Planning Software: Experience with planning software like Planning Center Online for scheduling, communication, and resource management.
Audio Software: Proficient in DAW’s, various plug-ins and MIDI (e.g., Ableton Live, Logic Pro)
In-Ear Monitoring Systems: Familiarity with in-ear monitor systems and their setup.
Orchestral Involvement: (If Applicable)
Instrumental Knowledge: Possess a working knowledge of orchestral instruments and their ranges.
Special Events: Assist in planning and leading worship for special events, such as holiday services, conferences, nights of worship and outreach events.
Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks related to the worship ministry, such as scheduling, communication, and resource management.
