Senior Pastor Full Time

Liberty Chapel Baptist Church is currently looking to fill the position of full-time Pastor. We are a small, rural church in northern Appomattox County, VA. Under leadership directed by the Holy Spirit, the church, whose average Sunday attendance is 35, is ready to grow and reach the people throughout the surrounding area with the Gospel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Must be committed to preaching expository sermons guided by the Holy Spirit, as well as lead prayer meetings and Bible studies.
• Lead evangelistic outreach.
• Actively visit members and prospects to build relationships and demonstrate a deep love and burden for people.
• Provide leadership and encouragement in developing and implementing a clear vision for the church and its direction towards serving Christ in the church and community.
• Regularly conduct and lead business meetings of the church and be accountable to the Deacons for church related activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia tenets.
• Must pass a background check.
• Pastoral experience preferred, but not required.

Compensation: Compensation commensurate with education and experience.
