Senior Pastor Full Time

A small conservative Baptist Church in a rural northern California county is prayerfully seeking an experienced Senior Pastor to lead our congregation in Spiritual growth, as we move forward in a new chapter of our 76 year history of serving the Lord.

Our purpose is to lead people into a relationship and full devotion to Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father. 

Our beliefs are in Salvation in Jesus Christ alone – Acts 4:12, the authority of Scripture – 2 Tim 3:16-17, unconditional love – Matt 22:37-40, world evangelism – Matt 28:19-20, the fellowship of the Saints in unity and love – I Cor 12:12-13, and true worship – John 4:23-24.

SENIOR PASTOR JOB DESCRIPTION

·         Responsible TO THE CHURCH to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teach the Bible, engage in pastoral care ministries, and provide oversight of all areas of church life

·         Must exemplify Godly character in both private and public life

·         Must be called by God to the ministry and have a true servant’s heart and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit

·         Must equip. educate, and edify the church as mandated by Ephesians 4:11-13

·         Must lead and serve with the expectations set forth in I Peter 5:2-3

·         Must possess and demonstrate good communication and leadership skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

·         Preferred 5-10 years e4xperience as Senior Pastor

·         Licensed and ordained

·         Conservative Biblical foundation – doctrine and theology

·         Seminary – Masters or Doctoral Degree from accredited seminary

·         A clear call from God to preach and pastor – Spiritual giftedness

·         Able to preach the Word with clarity and conviction

Lighthouse Baptist Church (LBC) is located in Lassen County, Susanville, CA in northern California.  It is surrounded by vast forests, lush lakes, high desert spaces, and mountains.  We are a diverse, multicultural, and a host to multiple ethic congregations.  Our worship style has a country theme with guitar, bass, mandoline, and steel guitar as backup to the piano.  We serve support mission and ministries in the local area as well as around to world, and are always looking to expand our opportunities.
