Job Description: Associate Pastor of Family Ministry (Full or Part Time)

• Key Responsibilities
  • Preaching & Teaching
    • Willingness to teach Sunday School
    • Share in preaching duties during regular services as needed
    • Lead Bible studies & discipleship classes as needed
  • Pastoral Care
    • Visit hospitals & homes as needed
    • Provide Biblical/pastoral counseling to individuals & families
    • Prayerfully support the church ministry
  • Ministry Development
    • Support & lead family ministries according to the church’s needs
    • Train & supervise volunteers & ministry leaders
    • Willingness to work as a servant leader alongside a team
  • Administration & Coordination
    • Collaborate in planning & communication of family ministries, programs, & volunteers
    • Ensure family ministries & events are in compliance with church policies
    • Consistently communicate with the congregation
    • Oversee budget & expenditures for family ministries & events
    • Regularly meet with and seek accountability from lead pastor & elder board 
• Key Skills, Qualifications, & Qualities
  • Clear testimony of salvation & calling to ministry, a man of God with a consistent Christ-like lifestyle & commitment to the church’s vision & mission (See 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9)
  • Established pattern of Christian leadership & mentoring
  • Competency in organization, written & verbal communication, and utilization of technology
  • Motivated, goal-oriented, self-driven, team player
  • Affirms BFM 2000
  • Preference given to candidates who possess or are pursuing a ministry-related degree
  • Must pass a background check

Maximum initial total compensation not to exceed $50,000

Compensation to be determined by full or part-time status, education, experience, etc.
