Worship Director
Lighthouse Church Tri-Cities
1007 Wright Ave. | Richland, WA 99354

Role Summary
Lighthouse Church is seeking a Full-Time Worship Director to guide our church in Christ-centered, congregational worship. This role is central to our mission of making and maturing disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18–20).

The Worship Director will shepherd and develop our worship and tech ministry teams, planning weekly gatherings that are Biblically faithful, musically accessible, and focused on glorifying God rather than performance. We are looking for someone with a deep love for the local church, a passion for worship ministry, and a creative spirit that is both innovative and theologically grounded.

Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and staff to support the church’s vision and discipleship goals.
Plan and lead weekly worship services aligned with sermon direction and church theology.
Select, arrange, and prepare music that encourages meaningful congregational participation.
Recruit, schedule, train, lead, and shepherd volunteer musicians and vocalists.
Lead weekly rehearsals and prepare teams for Sunday services.
Provide clear leadership and direction for the AVL (Audio/Video/Lighting) team.
Communicate schedules, setlists, and expectations clearly and consistently.
Help plan and support special services, events, and church-wide gatherings as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading worship with multiple teams and/or services.
Experience providing direction to A/V or production teams (without the expectation to run tech).
Familiarity with Planning Center or similar worship/production planning tools.
A willingness to fill in other duties as assigned on a small, growing team.
Character & Theology
Gospel-centered, humble, and teachable.
Meets the biblical character qualifications for church leadership (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1).
Demonstrates a healthy home life and faithfulness in marriage and family leadership.
Theologically aligned with Lighthouse Church and affirms our Statement of Faith.
Holds strong convictions on essential doctrines while showing charity on secondary issues.

Hours & Compensation
Employment Status: Full-time
Compensation: Based on experience and local financial trends

Benefits: Includes paid time off (PTO), holidays, and other benefits as per church policy.
