Lone Oak is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Pastor of Music and Media to join our Pastoral Staff. The APMM will work closely with the Senior Pastor to advance the mission of LOBC by overseeing all aspects of the music and multimedia ministries.
Job Summary:
The Associate Pastor of Music and Media (APMM) is a member of the Pastoral Staff of Lone Oak Baptist Church (LOBC). The APMM shall be under the direct supervision of the Senior Pastor and shall be responsive and accountable to him in all matters assigned. The APMM will work in conjunction with the Senior Pastor to advance the mission of LOBC by directing the details of congregational worship of all gatherings. Additionally, the APMM will develop, implement, and oversee all aspects of LOBC’s multi-media strategy.
Salary and Benefits:
- This position offers a starting, total annual salary package of up to $75,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience (divided for housing, insurance, retirement, etc., determined by the Associate Pastor).
- The Associate Pastor will receive regular weekdays off, PTO, sick leave, holidays, bereavement, time off for professional development, conventions, conferences, etc.
- Additionally, the Associate Pastor will be provided an IRS standard accountable expense reimbursement plan for ministry-related expenses.
Qualifications:
- A clear testimony of faith in and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as well as a clear testimony of calling into and the character necessary for vocational ministry (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9).
- Talent as a musician with at least five years of experience shepherding a congregation to worship the Lord through music.
- A pastoral concern for the spiritual well-being and growth of all in the congregation, as well as the music and multimedia ministries.
- A servant’s heart, a generous spirit, and a commitment to missions, evangelism, and discipleship that the Kingdom of God might advance through the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Technical skill in the areas of sound, lighting, audio/visual, and multimedia design and presentation.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Personal:
- Maintain an authentic and ongoing walk with Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.
- Preserve a healthy home environment, taking care to love and lead his family well.
- Be constantly growing in the skills and knowledge necessary for this position.
Pastoral:
- Work with the Pastoral Staff as a fellow shepherd to care for the members of LOBC and lead the church to fulfill its mission. This includes but is not limited to leading in prayer and Bible study, visitation of members and guests, assisting in outreach and missional events, performing and/or coordinating music for weddings and funerals as needed, and actively participating in any relevant leadership meetings.
- Intentionally engage in relational evangelism and discipleship, encouraging and equipping the members of LOBC and the music and multimedia ministries to do the same.
- Perform other duties as assigned or agreed upon by the Pastor.
Music and Multimedia:
- Prayerfully plan and coordinate all aspects of any corporate worship service of LOBC in cooperation with the Senior Pastor and all affected ministry teams. Select and coordinate worship songs with the sermons, paying special attention to theological accuracy, congregational needs, as well as the goals and aesthetics of each service.
- Oversee all aspects of the music ministries of LOBC including but not limited to the recruiting, auditioning, rehearsal, scheduling, and discipleship of musicians, vocalists, and choirs as needed; exercising oversight of all age-graded music ministries; and planning and coordinating any special services or events hosted by LOBC or in which LOBC chooses to participate.
- Supervise all technical areas of the corporate worship of LOBC, including but not limited to sound, lighting, stage design, multimedia presentations, and audio/visual.
Direct the development, execution, and maintenance of all aspects of communication strategies, messages, and media for both internal and external audiences. This includes but is not limited to management of the church’s branding strategy, website, livestream, video/audio production, social media platforms, marketing materials, promotional and visitor communications, and maintaining a consistent look and feel across all platforms. - Prepare and administer an annual budget for the Music and Media Ministries. Maintain all equipment and supplies related to the Music and Media Ministries, and purchase new or replace existing equipment and supplies when necessary
