Lone Pine Baptist Church in Palestine, Texas, is prayerfully seeking the man God is calling to serve as our next Pastor.

We are a Christ-centered Baptist congregation committed to biblical teaching, discipleship, worship, missions, fellowship, and serving our community. Lone Pine Baptist Church affirms and seeks to operate in accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

We are prayerfully seeking a Pastor who will faithfully preach and teach the whole counsel of God’s Word, shepherd our congregation, disciple believers, reach our community, and provide strong spiritual leadership as we enter our next season of ministry.

We Are Seeking a Pastor Who Will:
• Faithfully preach and teach the Word of God, clearly communicating biblical truth and helping believers grow in their understanding and application of Scripture.
• Provide spiritual leadership and direction while working alongside the congregation as we prayerfully seek God’s direction for the future.
• Shepherd and disciple believers while encouraging spiritual growth, evangelism, missions, and community outreach.
• Make pastoral visitation a meaningful part of his ministry, including visiting and ministering to the sick, elderly, homebound, hospitalized, and others experiencing times of need.
• Lead confidently while listening well, building trust, and demonstrating humility, integrity, wisdom, and compassion.
• Work cooperatively with deacons, church leaders, ministry volunteers, and members.
• Encourage and equip church members to use their gifts in service to Christ.
• Demonstrate a heart for reaching people within our church and throughout the surrounding community.

Qualifications
Candidates should:
• Demonstrate a clear personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a genuine calling to pastoral ministry.
• Meet the biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership found in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.
• Demonstrate sound biblical doctrine and a commitment to the authority of Scripture.
• Be able to affirm and minister consistently with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Possess effective preaching, teaching, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Demonstrate a genuine love for people and a servant’s heart toward the church and community.

Formal theological education and previous ministry experience will be considered as part of the overall evaluation of each candidate; however, the committee will prayerfully consider the candidate’s calling, character, experience, ministry preparation, and overall fit with Lone Pine Baptist Church.

Above all, Lone Pine Baptist Church is seeking a Pastor who loves Christ, loves people, faithfully proclaims God’s Word, cares for his congregation, and desires to serve alongside our church family as together we make Christ known in our community and beyond.
