Job Summary:
Lynn Haven Baptist Church in Vinton, VA, is seeking a dynamic and spiritually committed Worship Leader to lead our congregation in blended worship that glorifies God and fosters authentic engagement. This full-time position includes leading a weekly Sunday morning worship service, directing a praise team and choir (ensemble), and collaborating with the pastor and leadership team to advance the church’s mission.

Responsibilities:

Plan and lead a blended worship service every Sunday morning, incorporating contemporary praise music and traditional hymns to engage a multi-generational congregation.
Direct and mentor the praise team and choir (ensemble) to ensure high-quality, Christ-centered musical offerings.
Conduct weekly choir (ensemble) practices, fostering musical excellence and spiritual growth among participants.
Recruit, train, and develop members of the praise team and choir, cultivating their musical gifts and spiritual leadership.
Coordinate with the pastor to align worship themes with sermon series and seasonal events.
Assist the pastor in church leadership and ministry initiatives, contributing to the overall vision and mission of Lynn Haven Baptist Church.
Plan and participate in special services (e.g., Christmas, Easter) and church events (e.g., VBS, Preschool Chapel) as needed.
Manage the worship ministry’s budget, equipment, and scheduling of volunteers.

Qualifications:

A strong and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Demonstrated ability to lead congregational worship in a blended style that includes contemporary and traditional elements.
Proficiency in leading musical groups, including praise teams and choirs.
Ability to play at least one instrument (e.g., piano or guitar) is strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
A collaborative and servant-hearted spirit, committed to working as part of a team.
Experience in worship leading and music ministry is preferred, though not required.

Compensation:
Salary is negotiable and will be based on experience and qualifications.
