English Pastor Full Time

Montgomery Chinese Baptist Church (MCBC) is seeking an English pastor who is a servant called by God to follow Christ in a life of discipleship, utilizes the gifts of the Holy Spirit to teach the word of God, and carries out the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations. This is a full-time and salaried position located in Silver Spring, Maryland. The MCBC English pastor is responsible for shepherding the English Ministry (EM) with God’s word. This position will require teaching the Bible, equipping the English congregation to grow spiritually, and making disciples of Christ. The ideal candidate must be passionate about the gospel message and committed to the EM Visions and Missions, including the MCBC constitution and bylaws. This position also requires demonstrating biblical theology, a strong desire to champion a spiritual vision, and an authentic witness of Christ to help build a biblical community. The role will require strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to develop and achieve goals, and the flexibility to work a varied schedule, such as evenings and weekends.

• An applicant with a Master’s degree in Divinity or a Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited seminary
• An applicant who is an ordained pastor is preferred, however, a candidate with strong relevant ministry experience who is willing to pursue ordination in the foreseeable future may be considered
• Prior preaching and ministering in a multicultural setting is preferred
• Devoted to prayer and Scripture
• A good listener, relatable, approachable, and communicates effectively with the diverse congregation
• The ability to handle multiple tasks, be a team player, and be a spiritual leader
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Fluent in English
