Children’s Minister Full Time

Job Title: Children’s Minister
Position Summary
The Children’s Minister is responsible for leading, organizing, and nurturing a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered ministry for children from Pre-K through 5th grade. This role supports the spiritual growth of children while partnering with families, volunteers, and church leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and lead weekly children’s ministry programs for Pre-K through 5th grade
Develop age-appropriate curriculum and activities that encourage spiritual growth
Recruit, train, and support volunteers serving in children’s ministry
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment for all children
Communicate effectively with parents, volunteers, and church staff
Ensure consistent attendance, check-in procedures, and classroom organization
Organize and participate in special events, seasonal programs, and church-wide activities
Model Christ-like character and servant leadership

Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Dependable, committed, and reliable in attendance and follow-through
Experience in children’s ministry or working with children preferred
Ability to lead and encourage volunteers
Passion for serving children and families
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Agreement with the church’s mission, values, and statement of faith

Pre-K through 5th Grade

Work Schedule
Hours and schedule determined by church needs (including Sundays, Wednesdays, and special events)
