Senior Pastor Full Time

Ministry

·        Preach and teach the Word of God

·        Minister to the church through the use of sermons, worship, prayer and music

·        Plan weekly sermons that capture the vision of biblical vision of the Church.

·        Work with music minister to plan appropriate music for the week’s sermon

·        Officiate weddings and funerals

·        Perform baptisms and ordinance of the Lord’s Supper

·        Adhere to biblical teachings both in personal life and professional ministry

·        Serve as the church representative in the community and at civic functions

Administrative Duties

·        Oversee the church paid staff

·        Oversee along with the Deacons that the church is adhering to the Biblical Doctrine and the Southern Baptist Faith and message.

·        Involved in the selection of any teaching material within the church to ensure it meets the Bible

·        Work with the Deacons during the annual budget and working to ensure budget numbers are met.

·        Work with the Deacon body on other administrative issues that may arise.

Missionary

·        Coordinates local and other missions

·        Involved in the community to promote Christ

·        Encourage members to be involved in missions if they are called

Counselor

·        Provide faith based biblical counseling to church members (regardless of age) on matters involving relationships, addictions, and finances.

·        Visit nursing homes. Hospitals, and homes to minister to church members during times of need.

·        Willingness to reach out by phone to members and the homebound

·        Provide a compassionate aid for the bereaved during their time of grieving.
