Though our building may look a little different now than that little white stick shelter, the strong foundation of preaching God’s Word to a lost and dying world has remained the central focus of all we do. We’re a multi-generational church rooted in biblical truth and passionate about reaching our community and beyond with the love of Christ.

Position Summary:
We are prayerfully seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as our Associate Pastor. This dual-role position includes leading a thriving student ministry (grades 7–12) and supporting the pastoral staff in broader ministry efforts. The ideal candidate will have a clear call to ministry, a heart for youth, and a desire to help the whole church grow in faith and unity.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Ministry (Primary Focus):

Directly oversee and lead a Christ-centered, engaging student ministry.
Teach the Bible in a way that is relevant, doctrinally sound, and encourages spiritual growth.
Build strong, mentoring relationships with students and their families.
Equip and lead a team of adult volunteers to assist in ministry efforts.
Organize regular youth gatherings, discipleship opportunities, service projects, retreats/camps, and outreach events, including Sunday morning small groups and Wednesday night Bible study.
Associate Pastor Duties (Secondary Focus):

Support the Senior Pastor in preaching, pastoral care, and church leadership.
Occasionally preach during worship services.
Engage in pastoral care through visitation, counseling, and prayer.
Contribute to the spiritual and organizational health of the church body.
Qualifications:

A clear, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a call to pastoral ministry.
Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) and the mission of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Bachelor’s degree required; seminary or theological training preferred.
Experience in student ministry and pastoral leadership.
Strong communication, relational, and leadership skills.
A humble, teachable spirit and a team-oriented attitude.
