Student Minister Full Time

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking the next leader to invest in the spiritual growth and everyday lives of our students. The Student Minister will oversee all areas of Student Ministries with a primary focus on students in 6th–12th grade.

The ideal candidate is someone who is called to serve the Lord with a genuine love for young people and who:

Demonstrates a strong personal walk with the Lord
Connects easily with students and parents
Possesses a passion for teaching Scripture with clarity and conviction
Shows creativity in planning activities, Bible studies, and outreach
Desires to partner with families in discipleship
Models integrity, humility, and servant-leadership
 

What the Role Includes

Our Student Minister will oversee all student ministry programs, including weekly gatherings, small groups, retreats, mission opportunities, and special events. This role will also include building, equipping, and guiding a volunteer team—including parents who will help facilitate the youth and children’s ministry programs. The Student Minister will maintain healthy communication with families, provide clear direction and support to volunteers, and intentionally develop relationships with students both inside and outside the church walls.

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church is a growing congregation that averages over 200 in worship. We are multigenerational with a blended-style worship. We exist to glorify the Lord through lifting up the name of Jesus, participating in evangelism, setting believers on the path to discipleship, and devoting our lives to serve the one true King.
