About This Role

The Youth Pastor is responsible for ensuring all aspects of spiritual growth and development of middle school and high school students who attend NBCC. This includes leadership for all programming, teaching, events, and management in support of the overall mission and vision of NBCC. The Youth Pastor also expands the reach of our youth ministry by creating new initiatives, in new places, to reach new students for Christ.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of the Youth Pastor

• Plan and execute biblically accurate and culturally relevant teaching.
• Create a calendar that will encompass all of the programming needs of the ministry to fulfill all spiritual development and outreach goals.
• Create a strategic plan to reach out to, engage, and collaborate with surrounding schools.
• Recruit, develop and empower student and adult leaders to lead campus ministry.
• Develop a student leadership team that creates opportunities for youth
  individuals to learn about Jesus, build community, and live out their faith.
• Meet with student leaders on a regular basis to provide guidance and
  encouragement.
• Create opportunities for students to grow and serve experientially through local and international mission trips, community service projects, etc.

• Excitement for creating and implementing new ideas.
• Effective communicator (verbal, written, and body language).
• Vision caster who is able to clearly communicate what could be and how people can be a part of it.
• Ability to prioritize and manage own work and the work of others to effectively and efficiently accomplish tasks with excellence.

Your Team

• This position reports to the Senior Pastor.
• This position relates to other pastoral staff of NBCC and oversees the youth ministry.

• Maintain God-ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus Christ first, your spouse second, your children third and the ministry fourth.

• Demonstrate a Christ-like attitude through all interactions with congregation, staff, and volunteers.

Your Schedule

This is a part-time, with potential full-time hourly position with 20 hours a week, with four days spent in the office and one day of flexible working location.
