New Bethel Baptist Church (SBC) in Evansville, Indiana is prayerfully seeking our new pastor.  We will not put constraints on who God has already selected for us, but realistically we would like someone who is sufficiently educated or practiced to lead us deep in the Word. We desire a man of God who has a heart for evangelism and missions both near and far, a leader who can better teach us to be the hands and feet of God, and a person with Godly wisdom to help us navigate an increasingly complex culture.

We are an active and committed congregation that supports one another and will support and encourage our new pastor and his family. We are active in the community. We want our church to be a beacon of God’s love and mercy to our community as we minister. We are friendly and open. Through the pandemic we continued to minister and give while still protecting our congregation and community.

New Bethel is in a quiet residential area on the west side of Evansville, a mid-sized city of about 130,000 people that is a regional hub for about one million. We are centrally located within two and a half hours of four major metropolitan areas. The church is only two miles from the fastest growing university in Indiana. An elementary school is one of our neighbors, and in this working-class neighborhood, children attend the same school their grandparents attended. In addition to good public schools, Evansville also has a highly respected Christian school, preschool through grade twelve.
