Pastor Full Time

New Hope Community Church’s pastor is responsible for shepherding the congregation through biblical pastoral ministry, including preaching, baptism, the Lord’s Supper, conducting weddings, funerals, child dedications, and offering counseling and benevolent care such as hospital and bereavement visits. The pastor fosters spiritual growth through Christian education by mentoring Bible study leaders, approving curriculum, and coordinating training. As the senior elder, the pastor collaborates with church elders to provide spiritual oversight and leadership development. The role also includes outreach efforts such as engaging with visitors, guiding prospective members, and reconnecting with inactive members. Additionally, the pastor mentors ministerial staff, models spiritual disciplines, and encourages personal and professional growth. Administrative responsibilities include supervising support staff, managing church events and facilities, participating in resource allocation as a board member, and coordinating church social media communications.
