CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR’S PART-TIME Part Time

If you live in or near the Bethany area in Reidsville NC New Lebanon Church is hiring for our next CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR. New Lebanon Church is small growing Southern Baptist Church nestled in the Bethany community near Greensboro. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose/Goal: Responsible for overseeing the entire children’s ministry to ensure a safe and effective youth program. Recruit and train leaders, who working together with you, will teach children God’s love and provide fellowship to lay the foundation for keeping children interested in the things of God and involved in church.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Organize Wednesday night, Sunday morning Children’s Church, and VBS activities for the ages of nursery to 5th grade. Arrive early to prepare for Wednesday and Sunday events.

·       Leading the Wednesday night Children’s program is the main responsibility of the Children’s Ministry Director.

o   Maintain inventory of Drinks, Snacks, and other prizes as needed for the youth

o   Ensure someone is identified to lead and coordinate game time

o   Plan special activities/events and themes to engage the youth and keep things interesting

·       Organize teachers and helpers for Wednesday night, Sunday mornings, and VBS.

·       Organize Nursery helpers (quantity of two for each Sunday).

·       Teach at least one Sunday a month and fills in when necessary. Sunday morning Children’s Church (NLC Kids) may be lead on a rotational basis overseen by the Director.

·       Plan and organize VBS. Choose VBS theme, recruit workers, schedule time, and promote the event in addition to coordination of activities, games etc.

·       All events for Children should be planned and scheduled quarterly during the school year, and monthly in the Summer.

A background check will be required. 

Compensation up to $1000 monthly.
