SENIOR PASTOR

FULL-TIME (Salary: Commensurate with Experience/Education + Housing and Benefits)

Location: Newbern, TN.  

Newbern First Baptist Church of Newbern, Tennessee, is prayerfully seeking a full-time Pastor.

We are a united body made of all ages and talents, and we use our different gifts to bring us closer in our worship experience with Him. We are located in a town of 3,300 within a county of over 37,500 in Northwest Tennessee.  We have an average Sunday morning attendance that has grown to 400 with much further growth potential. The pastor will lead a small staff, oversee a multi-building campus and assist in the administration of a $859,960 budget. 

Our church is seeking a Pastor with an evangelistic heart, a preacher/teacher, a love for missions, a passion for reaching young people and families, a desire to develop leaders and a family that is ready to be loved by the church and involved in community life. He must strongly affirm and support the Southern Baptist Faith and Message 2000, demonstrate strong support of Southern Baptist cooperative ministry, and believe that Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Our next pastor will also be involved in leading the church during the expansion of our Christian Activities Building (CAB) to accommodate our growing youth program.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be ordained Southern Baptist Minister

Must have an Advanced Christian Degree

Must support and affirm Baptist Faith and Message 2000

Must meet the requirements of Overseers and Deacons outlined in 1 Timothy 3

Must demonstrate strong support of Southern Baptist cooperative ministry

Must agree to a comprehensive background check
