Overview:
Nolan River Road Baptist Church (NRRBC) seeks a Senior Pastor who embodies outstanding character and a deep commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This individual will provide expository teaching and demonstrate a passion for discipleship, guiding the congregation in fulfilling its mission. The Senior Pastor will collaborate closely with Church Staff, Deacons, and the Church Council.
Key Responsibilities:
Evangelism: To lead and equip NRRBC to reach the lost.
Spiritual Leadership: Provide guidance in the spiritual well-being of NRRBC, working with Deacons and staff to achieve the Church’s mission.
Preaching and Teaching: Deliver well-organized sermons and lessons that edify, challenge, and encourage congregational worship.
Discipleship Development: Foster spiritual growth through discipleship, planning and promoting Bible studies, revivals, and conferences.
Staff Development: Support and develop church staff, Deacons, committee chairs, Sunday School teachers, and volunteers.
Community Engagement: Encourage church members to actively participate in local, state, national, and international missions.
Administrative Leadership: Oversee church operations, including managing budgets and financial statements.
Pastoral Care: Minister to members who are hospitalized, residents in assisted-living, or home-bound; conduct baptisms, Lord’s Supper, baby dedications, and officiate weddings and funerals.
Counseling: Provide compassionate guidance to members during life events and crises, offering resources as needed.
Professional Representation: Uphold a strong image of professionalism and compassion as the lead representative of NRRBC.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited seminary.
Licensed and ordained Southern Baptist Minister.
Minimum 3 years in a Senior Pastor role or 5 years as an Associate Pastor.
Experience in staff management and leadership collaboration.
Proficiency in reviewing financial statements and developing budgets.
Active participation in association and state denominational organizations.
Proven involvement in supporting local, state, national, and international missions.
Expectations:
Commit to personal spiritual growth and reliance on God.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of Southern Baptist theology and doctrine.
Maintain office hours for accessibility to members.
Exhibit professionalism, faith, and compassion in all interactions.
Work Schedule:
Flexibility is required, including availability during evenings and weekends.
