Business Manager Full Time

NFBC, NFCS, and NFC Academy are a growing Church, School, and Online Homeschool program looking to fill the position of Business Manager.  The position is responsible for the following, but is not limited to:

Accounts Payable process

·         Ensure timely and accurate payments are processed for all ministry expenditures

·         Review and approve weekly Payment Register to ensure all documentation is accounted for and payments are made within ministry policy and procedures

Accounts Receivable process

·         Ensure timely and accurate billing for school/Academy accounts

·         Ensure collection process is reviewed and maintained to reduce outstanding account balances, and any delinquent accounts are addressed

Bank, Credit Card, and PayPal Account Maintenance

·         Positive Pay Processing

·         Monthly Reconciliations

Bank Runs as Needed

·         Cash deposits

·         Change runs for event bags and boxes, etc.

Business Office Staff Management

Budgeting process for ministry

Church Donation Tracking & Reporting

Financial Reporting for all aspects of the ministry to department leaders and Boards

·         Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, and Ad Hoc

Human Resources Onboarding process

·         Background Screening

·         Benefit enrollment

·         Maintaining & updating employee files

·         Collect all information required to process payroll (direct deposit, employee agreements, benefit paperwork, etc.)

Journal Entries for Accounting purposes

Liaison Across multiple departments and divisions of the Ministry

Liaison with outside CPAs and Accountants for all Annual Financial Audits

Liaison with Outside Vendors and Third-Party Administrators to address the needs of the ministry such as:

·         Business needs

o    Banking

o    Payment Processing

o    Church Management Software

·         Software solutions

o    Student Information Systems

o    Cloud computing for accounting systems

·         Employee Benefits

o    Payroll

o    Health Insurance

o    Dental Insurance

o    403(b) Retirement

Payroll Processing

·         Ensure time for hourly employees is approved and imported correctly into payroll system

·         Ensure salary information is entered and updated as needed

·         Ensure all deductions for benefits are entered and updated as necessary

·         Ensure all deductions for benefits are processed each pay period

·         Ensure timely entry of journal entries into accounting system for financial reporting purposes

·         Ensure all 403(b) withholding is remitted in a timely manner

·         Track PTO to ensure all employees adhere to Leave Policy

·         Three or More Years’ Experience leading a team

o    Experience leading a team/organization through a regular audit process

·         Three or more years working in a ministry and/or educational environment

·         Experience processing and/or approving timecards and payroll

·         Experience working in accounting systems (QuickBooks and/or Shelby a plus)

·         Experience with Step Up for Students financial scholarships management

 

Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.  Employee benefits include access to health and dental insurance, ministry paid life insurance, 403(b) retirement and matching, paid time off, tuition and some fee remission for children of employees.
