Nucla First Baptist Church’s vision is to see every man, woman and child in Nucla and surrounding areas come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Through loving relationships, honesty and sound Biblical teaching, Nucla First Baptist Church will make disciples, baptize and teach every man, woman and child to follow the commands of Jesus. We seek the Pastor God has called to model and equip the membership of the church to continue and strengthen the efforts of this vision and purpose.

Job Description:

Maintain vital and growing relationship with Lord Jesus Christ
Prepare, lead and preach the Sunday worship service.
Participate in weekly scheduled church activities
Work with the church leadership, staff, and ministry teams to carry out the mission and purpose of the church
Moderate and lead church meetings
Equip the congregation for ministry and evangelism
Attend to the congregation’s pastoral needs
Including (as necessary and available) visitation, prayer, counseling, etc.)
Perform baptisms of new believers, perform weddings and funerals when available

Qualifications

Born Again and has a clear personal testimony of his conversion commitment to Christ
Has a sure sense of God’s calling in his life to serve in Pastoral Ministry
Has a sure sense that he serves under the guidance of the Holy Spirit
Must meet the Biblical Qualifications for a Pastor (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4)
Believes that the Bible is the Holy Word of God
A man who can rightly divide the Word of God
Personally affirms the 2000 SBC Faith and Message
Capable of Expository Preaching
