About Patterson Baptist Church:

Patterson Baptist Church (PBC) is a vibrant and growing community of faith located in the small town of Patterson, Georgia. Our mission at PBC is to make disciples for the glory of God. We are seeking a dedicated, full-time Children’s Director to join our ministry team and lead our children’s ministry.

Position Summary:

The Children’s Director at PBC will be responsible for overseeing and nurturing the spiritual growth and discipleship of children (infants through fifth grade) and their families. The Children’s Director will serve as a spiritual leader, mentor, and guide to the children, the parents, and volunteers within the church community of PBC. The Children’s Director will work closely with the Senior Pastor and other staff leaders to ensure that the children’s ministry aligns with the overall vision and mission of Patterson Baptist Church.

Qualifications:

-A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a sense of calling from God to serve in the Children’s Ministry
Commitment to The Baptist Faith and Message (https://bfm.sbc.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/BFM2000.pdf)
-Bachelor’s degree in a related field (ex: theology, Christian education, child development, psychology) is preferred
-Proven experience in children’s ministry or related leadership roles within a ministry setting
-Good communication skills, with the ability to connect with children, parents, and volunteers
-Visionary thinking and the ability to develop and execute strategic plans for ministry growth
-Organizational and administrative skills
-Ability to work as part of a ministry
-Must clear a background check
-Clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required
