ActiveShepherd Staff is honored to be working with Peavine Baptist Church in Rock Spring, GA as they search for their next Kid’s Pastor. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kid’s Pastor to lead a thriving children’s ministry. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in children’s ministry within a Baptist, complementarian church setting and will be theologically aligned with the church’s beliefs. This role requires strong communication and teaching skills, the ability to restructure and develop the children’s ministry, and a commitment to engaging with parents and children in a team-oriented, evangelistic church culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and execute Kids’ Sunday worship experiences at all campuses.
Plan and execute Kids’ Wednesday evening programming at all campuses.
Plan, resource, and oversee small groups for 1st-5th grades.
Plan and execute annual kids’ ministry events at all campuses (VBX, seasonal events, camps, etc.)
Ensure kids are given an opportunity to respond to the Gospel at every event.
Follow-up with salvations and potential baptisms as needed.
Follow-up with guests on a weekly basis.
Continually build systems that will create growth at the ministry level.
Connect with the community, building specific personal relationships and strategic in-roads at schools and childhood-centric organizations.
Recruit, train, and care for all 1st- 5th-grade kids’ volunteers to create the highest possible standards for kids’ ministry.
Schedule all volunteers for weekly services.
Ensure all volunteers and leaders are in place and ready to go prior to meetings/events.
Engage all kids’ ministry volunteers on a weekly basis and seek ways to express appreciation.
Prepare kids’ ministry facilities for upcoming services/ events at the central campus (all rooms neat/ organized)
