Senior Pastor Full Time

Philadelphia Baptist Church of Marshville, NC, is seeking a passionate and committed licensed and ordained Senior Pastor to serve as a full-time leader, teacher, and preacher. We are looking for someone who will uphold and proclaim the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, teaching with clarity, conviction, and authority. The ideal candidate will be an experienced soul-winner who is eager to inspire and equip our congregation(125-175 active members) to live out Biblical principles in their personal witness. As a conservative Baptist church in alignment with the  Baptist Faith and Message 2000 (amended 2023), we are committed to sound doctrine and Biblical truth. We have a place for all members to grow, with an abundance of kids programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Preaching & Teaching: Plan and lead dynamic worship services in collaboration with part-time staff, delivering clear, Biblical messages. Utilize modern media platforms to share the gospel with a broader audience.
Pastoral Care: Lead and support the pastoral care efforts of the church, visiting members in hospitals, nursing homes, and the homebound, with the help of part-time staff and deacons.
Leadership & Administration: Oversee and provide leadership to the church’s staff, ensuring smooth administrative operations. Act as the primary leader and administrator of the paid staff.
Evangelism & Discipleship: Lead the congregation in outreach and evangelism, and guide the church in the assimilation of new members into the life of the church.
Ceremonies & Counseling: Officiate weddings, funerals, and other church ceremonies. Provide Biblical counseling as needed to members.
Ordinances: Lead the church in the observance of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Denominational Representation: Represent the church in associational, state, and denominational matters, fostering relationships and engagement within the broader Baptist community.
Qualifications:

Licensed and ordained as a Senior Pastor.
Preferably some formal seminary education (e.g., Southern Baptist Seminary), with a commitment to ongoing theological education and growth.
Strong Biblical preaching and teaching skills.
Passionate about evangelism and disciple-making.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience in church administration and staff management.
