Overview:
We are seeking a Discipleship/Executive Pastor to lead our discipleship initiatives and manage church operations, aligning with our mission to glorify God and make disciples.

About Pillar Church

Pillar Church is a Baptist church replant in Grove City, Ohio. We are a fellowship of
believers who make and send disciples through gospel witness, Christ-centered
teaching, and worship that glorifies God.

Our ministry priorities include expository preaching, teaching sound theology, leading
the congregation in God-centered worship, and fulfilling the great commission through
evangelism and missions. Our goal is to be a sending church that develops a
generation of leaders, church planters, and missionaries.

Pillar Church cooperates with the Southern Baptist Convention, the State Convention of
Baptists in Ohio, and Strategic Church Network.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Discipleship Ministry:
 Oversee discipleship ministries (Bible studies, life groups, and 1:1 discipleship).
 Lead guest follow-up and new member processes.
 Implement a discipleship pipeline which develops new believers into deployed
disciples.

2. Leadership and Management:
 Assist the lead pastor in implementing the church’s ministry plan.
 Oversee internal and external communication to ensure clarity.
 Manage essential operations such as administration and planning.

3. Pastoral Ministry
• Participate in the preaching team, delivering sermons as scheduled.
• Provide pastoral care and counsel to congregation members.
• Lead by example in godliness, doctrine, and service.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a ministry-related field (Master’s preferred).

• Strong alignment with historic Baptist theology.
• Experience in church leadership and administration.

Skills and Qualities:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technological competency and the ability to integrate innovative technologies for
more effective ministry.
• Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage, prioritize, and delegate
tasks effectively.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Exemplary Christian life and example in keeping with 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
Though not required, specialization in worship, children’s ministry, or student ministry is
a plus.
