• Pine Level Baptist Church seeks to glorify God by equipping the disciples of the church through Gospel-centered/expository preaching, biblically-sound education, Christ-exalting worship, Spirit-led prayer, and soul-nurturing fellowship.

JOB SUMMARY

• The primary roles of the Family Pastor is in striving to lead his life in way that glorifies God through joyful obedience, Gospel proclamation, and disciple making. If married, he loves and leads his family in a Christ-honoring fashion.
• Preach, Teach, Disciple, Equip, and Serve the children/students of PLBC and their leaders to know and understand the Gospel.
• Focus primarily on educating students 6th-12th grade while also equipping parents/leaders to grow in their ability to disciple their own children.
• Provide oversight for Children’s Director (Educational Goals, Event Planning, Volunteer Training).
• Encourage and equip parents with prayer, resources, and training for discipleship beyond our local church campus.

OVERSEE MINISTRIES: STUDENTS and CHILDREN

• Meet weekly with the Children’s Director to pray, cast vision, plan, challenge, and encourage leadership to all work together to provide a safe, encouraging environment for children and students to grow in their knowledge of the Gospel.
• Host Leadership Training Sessions twice per year to equip the volunteers of both the Children’s and Student’s Ministries in their volunteer roles.
• Organize and Lead special events for Students: Mission Trip, Summer Camp, and more.
• Partner with Children’s Director in overseeing/supporting special events for Children: Vacation Bible School, Children’s Camp, and more.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Follower of Christ with a call and desire to serve vocationally in the context of the Local Church.
• The Family Pastor must meet the qualifications laid out in God’s Word found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
• It is preferred that he be a graduate from an SBC seminary or other accredited seminary (M. Div., Th. M., or equivalent).
• Commitment to uphold Holy Scripture, the Baptist Faith and Message, and PLBC Constitution and By-Laws.
• Two years experience in serving (preferably students) in a local church setting.
